(1 vote) Looks like the Libertarian Party was right. The Story below is from Bob Barr's website. It links to the documents filed by the Democratic and Republican parties. The Democrats filing is notarized after the deadline, so it is obviously too late. The Republicans filing doesn't list both the presidential and vice presidential candidates as required by law. It is not notarized and it is a matter of public record that the party had not officially nominated their candidates by the deadline. (1 vote) Let me preface this by recognizing how monumental it is to see a woman on a major party ticket (a la Ferraro/Mondale). If I set aside politics for a moment, I can admit I'm very proud to see a woman in the national spotlight who proves that "the fairer sex" does not have to choose between motherhood and her career. I respect that Palin has the gumption to defend her unwed daughter's pregnancy on national television; it shows me that she actually believes in her touted values (a rare disposition these days.) But, feminist jaunt aside, let's get down to the brass tacks. Psychologist tells us why republicans vote republicanSubmitted by makonis on Fri, 09/12/2008 - 20:55.

(1 vote) To make up for society as a being a giant A-hole, many restaurants in Dallas are providing service industry workers with food and liquor discounts in their establishments. You would think this little gesture would possibly cut down on the number of spitwads added to food content. I can't begin to describe the nasty things I've witnessed at the restaurant where I'm employed. The sad thing is that I used to care about the customers and what they ingest. Not so much anymore. |
