"How come God gets all the good followers, and we're left with the retards?" - The Violator, Spawn (1997)
I have to imagine that Barack Obama has to be asking him a similar question today. People, in general, lose major portions of brain function whenever the topic of politics comes to play. In this instance, it's particularly embarrassing for them.
Today, from The RAW story:
A McCain ad aired on Fox News channel with the words "HANG" in the background along with a photograph of Barack Obama has sparked outrage after being noticed by a reporter at a local Fox television affiliate.
Before you get your panties in a bunch, you need to look at the picture - take a deep breath and just stare at it for about thirty seconds so you can try to figure out exactly how that word may have gotten there.
(The image won't embed, here's the link).
I'll give you a couple more seconds to figure it out.
...
Hang is the middle of the word "change." You know, the catchphrase of the Obama campaign. And zooming in to frame Senator Obama is appropriate, according to the "rule of thirds" that most photogs and videographers adhere to.
Furthermore, the vignette effect is present throughout the majority of the advertisement and in the video, attention is drawn away from the background by the fly-in effect of the caption "higher taxes."
To construe this as somehow sending the message "hang Obama" is far over-reaching. This doesn't prevent over 70% of the moonbats at the Daily Kos from asserting that this was an intentional racist message from the McCain campaign.
Meanwhile, folks like former President Jimmy Carter utter slurs like "black boy" in reference to Barack Obama, and his own vice presidential candidate was quoted as giving an endorsement to McCain before he'd feel comfortable with Barack Obama in office.
I guess they get a pass, though, since they're Democrats, and couldn't possibly be racist. Of course I think that's ridiculous, but what do I know, I'm just a proto-fascist.
Abandon all reason, all ye who enter here - for it is the race for the presidency. Up is down, you're a racist, and you'd just better get used to it.
No, don't argue. Just accept it.
